For a fun art project in a design course, our trio created the exhibit “Kopfsteinpflaster”. A pun in german, with “Kopfsteinpflaster” meaning cobblestone but also containing the word “Kopf”, which means head.
Every day we charge forward into tasks, often head-on, careless, without thinking about the next step. Only when something happens do we stop and think.
“Kopfsteinpflaster” is a metaphor exhibit. People only stop walking once they notice or step on the heads.
We wanted people to think more about carelessness: Do I notice the “head” only when it’s too late?
